Where it all began
Walsh Wood Working was founded on a simple belief: that honest materials, skilled hands, and patient craftsmanship produce work that outlasts trends and stands up to real life. What started as a small sawmill operation has grown into a full-service woodworking and outdoor construction company.
We fell our own timber, mill it on-site, kiln-dry it to spec, and turn it into furniture, cabinetry, decks, and structures that carry the character of the wood itself. Every board has a story — we just help it find its final form.
From live-edge slab tables to full home additions, from laser-engraved keepsakes to cabin rentals tucked in the woods, Walsh Wood Working brings the same care and precision to every project, large or small.

Shawn Walsh
Founding Owner/ Craftsman
Shawn has been working wood since 1981 at Utica Jr. High School. He then started a part time business in 1986 after high school graduation- building picnic tables and golf tee benches. Now we have expanded to the services we provide.
